14 million investment in Chiuduno for the new "green" Made Black factory

In the heart of Lombardy's «Button Valley» pass all those accessories that we find in clothes, shoes, belts, backpacks or fanny packs. Objects such as buttons, studs, sliders, pullers, sliders (sliding) and even eyelets, buckles, carabiners, mounted hinges, which are painted in Chiuduno's Made Black, especially if they are part of high fashion clothing or footwear. The big brands are at home in this company that just before the lockdown inaugurated a brand new factory - which the mayor of Chiuduno, Stefano Locatelli visited yesterday -: 14 million investment to aim for top-level productions combined with maximum environmental and energy sustainability. Founded in 1995, the company, with a turnover of 8 million euros, employs 84 people and is part of the Amf Group of Bassano del Grappa (together with Amf Snaps, Figros and Mimest).

«We have married modern technology with the philosophy of traditional attention to customers - explained the production manager Eros Mancabelli -. We try to raise the dimension of craftsmanship to the rank of the new industrial culture, without however distorting its origins ".

The new plant, designed by the ProgettoB20 studio in Brescia, was built in just six months and officially opened shortly after the Epiphany. "Built on an area of ​​11,000 square meters, the structure has an area of ​​7,000 square meters, of which 1,700 are clean rooms - explained the designers -.
Everything is built in Nzeb, an acronym for "Near zero energy building" and therefore tends towards greater energy savings through structural measures, materials and special machinery. On the roofs there is a 150 kW photovoltaic system that covers one third of the total consumption, while the heat of the production, instead of being dispersed, is exploited and reused to minimize consumption. "Refrigerators and condensing boilers close the circle of a structure that we estimate has the same operating costs as the previous one, which however insisted on an area of ​​only 2,300 square meters - continued Mancabelli -. And the reference to the possible damage of climate change was not overlooked: thanks to underground systems, even water bombs would not cause flooding ". The new structure also allows greater flexibility in the production of products on customer request.
There are employees who create special colors for equally particular materials (the range includes over 50 different ones). The artifacts, given the high quality required by customers, are carefully analyzed by hand, discarding even small imperfections. "Energy saving, pollution abatement, cleaning, attention to the well-being of employees, even architecture is at the forefront - commented the mayor -.
